I think prostitution and marijuana should be legalized!

I DO believe that a woman has the choice to do whatever she wants with her own body. I may not agree with her choice of action, but if I disapprove and have the ability to impact what and how she does her body, then that creates a slippery slope to where she would be able to determine what I do with mine. I do know that there is clearly a market for this sort of service, and there always has been. The same thing with Mary Jane. If these people aren't harming anyone but themselves then I will not pose as the moral authority.

I agree, as long as they do it like in Nevada, legal and the girls use condoms. and go to the doc once a week. I'll be surprised if it ever happens. Marijuana probably will be legal.

I completely agree. Nevada has a great system for prostitution and Colorado has made a killing in tax dollars on legalized marijauna.

marijuana is legal to those that have a permanent dessese (ex-specially those that are in there old age such as advanced arthritis) but its not legal to the general public. As for prostitution its still very much illegal but in some countries beyond the USA both are legal. My thoughts are both are no good and should be gotten rid of but i was raised in that sort of time when that was the way of thinking. As knowledge grows i still see prostitution will still be somewhat illegal because of the dangers that come with it (as for the somewhat i can see it being legal as cybersex as it would became cyberprostitution). Now for marijuana it might became totally legal for public use (of course in certain areas because of its smell and it really stinks) but this is all just in thought tho it could happen or not happen at all.

I believe prostitution should be legalized.  It has been around since the beginning of time and will always be here.  Let's get the girls off the streets and get rid of the pimps.  Have them checked weekly by a doctor and condoms must be used.  This would save countless girls lives by either being beat up by her pimp or never getting out of that car alive.  Also, look at the money it would generate the state.  As far as marijuana goes, I think it's just a matter of time before that is legal.

if it was that simple you froget that condoms can break and in a private room can be as dangerous as a car + even if they put cams in a room it can lead to complications of privacy (its very dangerous ether way you slice it) but with technology its far far less of a risk. Also the ridicule that gose along with the job (watch the movie called The Gamer & look @ the main char. wife its not a pretty picture)

I agree. In fact I do believe that prostitution is legal according to the federal government, but it just is illegal in most states. This is why Nevada can have legal prostitution "shops".

As for marijuana, we still have rules / laws that the DEA enforces even though there are 2 states that have made it completely legal, even for non-medical, recreational use. Right now, the DEA's power is mostly in the trafficking of marijuana esp. across state lines. But I think that as more states legalize its use (even for medicinal purposes) the federal government should rethink their stance on certain laws and allow it to be transported anywhere within the country (and allow individual states or local agencies to set their own laws).

I think both really should be legislated at a more local level, as other "moral" laws have been done: gambling, *bleep* / strip clubs, alcohol, etc. And if there is some connection to the federal government (eg taxable income, benefits for married couples working in the public sector, etc.) then it should base its decision based on the local laws; so if it is legal where the person currently resides, then it should be deemed legal in the federal government's eyes too.

Prohibition does NOT WORK in human society. It just makes criminals of people. Marijuana should never have been prohibited and there is far more research now proving its medical benefits. As for the oldest profession, whether it is legal or not really has very little to do with little girls becoming prostitutes.

It's already legalized in some states and countries since some people are going to do and use it, they might as well pay taxes on it.

I will have to agree with this as well. Prostitution has been around longer than drugs. And pot is not big deal. So, yes, they should be legal.
