Are you more able to understand something by reading words, or looking at a pict

Both. I need visual aid but also a quality explanation which words provide most often better than images do. I generally try to watch someone else with or without an explanation accompanying what they're doing to help me. Some things I just figure out on my own just by looking at whatever it is I'm working with.

I do better by reading, probably because you can always reread something if you don't quite understand it.

Sometimes both are needed.  It depends on what it is.  Some of the instructions to put stuff together are impossible to understand (at least to me) with words and pictures and a little man inside the box that puts it together for me. lol

That is really sad if you are reading something and comprehension is lying fallow.  Why read if you can't understand or get the gist of what you are reading. Understanding a picture depends on the individual and what they see from their prospective.

I would say that pictures would be easier, but for some reason I feel like reading it would be better for me

I prefer to see things rather than reading. I like to observe and pick up what I see.  When i read something, it takes awhile for it to sink in.

Both, but not everybody is, my sister is not and i can't comprehend this because I never had to deal with this...

I usually need both. Sometimes just reading something is hard to understand if let's say, you don't know what all the parts are. A diagram or something is useful.

it depends. Words usually say more. There  times that  a picture can say a thousand words so to speak

I'm a visual learner. It takes me more time to learn something with words than just looking at it.

Reading the words and hands on works better for me. One way I can't learn from is audio.

Definitely by reading words - it just makes the picture so much clearer!!
