I think something just happened close-by in Connecticut.A child left in a hot car.And they died a few days ago.

It goes beyond wondering how you can allow that to happen.

I got to hate the heat so much and k now how i feel.....how could you not know about a child or a pet?

Sad sad sad!!!

Oh! It is terrible! Never leave anyone you love in a hot car.

I don't understand how you could leave a child in a car but I am not in their shoes and do not know the stress that they are feeling at the time.

I have always remember my children and would not leave them in a car. Also my dog also I wouldn't leave in a car. That is mean and I feel those people should be punished. But I am asking God to take care of it because he can do a better job at it then I could ever do.

I don't understand this myself. I just saw on news this morning that the Georgia man who left his son in the car while he was at work was sexting up to 6 women while his son was in the car dying.

Anyone who "forgets" their kid or pet in the car needs to be charged with first degree murder.  There is NO way you can forget your kid in the car unless you are doped up on drugs.  The person who does it needs to be strapped into a car and forced to die the same way.  That way they can think about what they done to their kid.

These things leave me scratching my head also.  Recently a woman left her child in the car because she forgot then she went somewhere else and did the same stupid thing.  She forgot her child again.  It is absolutely ridiculous for people to leave children or pets in a car.  I hate hearing about it.

I remember being at a supermarket once and as I parked my car, I could see a another one with the engine running (presumably to keep the air conditioning going). I asked myself why someone would leave their engine running outside a supermarket and decided to go closer to have a look. To my horror I could see 3 or 4 small children (all under 5) in the back seat, none of them were strapped in and some of them weren't even sitting down. I was worried on so many levels, firstly that there was no adult, secondly that the engine was running (what if one of them got into the front seat), third it was a hot day. I'm sure whomever the parent was would not be happy with me because I called the police and waited by the car until the police arrived. No child is going to be left in a back seat while I'm watching!!

I think that until you have been a parent that is surviving on about 5 hours of sleep a week, you don't have the right to judge. *bleep* happens.
Particularly when routines change. I always have the kids in my car, so I would never forget them. My husband, however, rarely takes the kids and I could see how if he was in a hurry and exhausted it might happen.
