Growing up we have always had both dogs and cats in the house.  They have always gotten along beautifully.  Now as far as the 2 legged animals, like siblings and other family members?  Well, sometimes we got along, other times, not so much.

I have always heard that they do not get along but I don't think that is true at all...because I have seen dogs and cats get along well; but then again it also depends on the dog and cat.

Is it true that dogs and cats can not get along well enough to be raise together?

No that's not true I have dogs inside and outside and the same with cats.  I have a baby kitten and my female dog who is fixed cleans her and takes care of her since her mother won't so they get a long.  Now if you have a cat or dog who has not be raised around the other it takes time but they will get use to each other eventually.

That's true, but if they raise together when they were young, they should not have any problem

I have seen cats and dogs live happy and play friendly.

  All animals of any kind can live together. I had a dog a few years back, and first showed her a baby bird we found, and told her he was a baby, and they got together fine. then we got a baby rat, and she took care of it. rat thought that was mama.

NO. That is absolutely not true. Dogs and cats absolutely CAN get along just fine. I think they even get along better than two or more cats do, or two or more dogs do. Dogs and cats and get along with virtually any animal. There are some dogs and some cats whose personalities just don't mix with other animals and sometimes don't even mix with people. There are also adult animals that don't have a problem with different animals. I think for most animals, it's companionship/friendship that matters to them.

False cats & dogs can learn 2live 2gether. Even better if raised from babyhood.
