i sell things online and belong to around 20-30 different sites i typically will make around 500-800 in a month.  i am a stay at home mom and im online anywhere from 5 am to 9 pm at night with small breaks during the day to play with and care for my children.  i do way more work then i used to at a 9-5 job to earn that money but it also lets me stay at home with my children so i am willing to do whatever i have to for them.

:) You must live within your income. If you are unable to do that, then you must increase your income. Whatever you do, avoid debt at all costs.  :)

The struggle is real. $700.00 is a lot of money to some people depending on their situation or life style. Now if I was living back on the farm where I grew up, sure $700 would be ok if managed well.

Yes.  Coupons and online work have gotten me through times when I wish I had $700 a month.  And with less than that, I gave up on "other people's opinions" and decided that food stamp money is money.  Gotta eat.  And, yes, I use coupons with food stamps to stretch them as far as I can through the month, too.  I don't want to eat hot dogs all month.  I need real meals...lol.

You will not be able to live by yourself on $700 a month.

I have lived on less than $700 a month.  I also have a story I can share with you.  One of my cousins chose to live above her means and she does hair for a living.  I have seen her go through eviction, and the last I heard was that she was addicted to drugs.  I was sitting in her shop one day and she charged a lady $700 to do her hair.  I told her there is no way, shape, form or fashion I would even attempt to have her do my hair.  She did my hair for $40.  I just say to you that you can live on $700 a month (it rounds out to $175 a week).  You have to make sure you pay your bills off first and stash the first $7 somewhere for a rainy day.  If you have other ideas of how to live off $700 a month, let us all in on it. ??? ??? ??? :moneymouth: :rainbow: :rose:

I am in the States and that would be nearly impossible to live on. Most apartments cost more than that per month and do not include cost of heat and electricity. then there is food, gas for the car etc.

I just did the math and if we didn't have a mortgage we still couldn't live off $700 a month. I might have lived off $700 when I was single. And that was a stretch.

I think it depends on where you live (ie what state and / or city) that would determine whether it was even possible to live on... Where I live, it's possible to get a single bedroom apt. for ~$500 / month (including heat, garbage, and water). Tack on another $75 for electricity (which if I had no TV or computer, would be fairly generous). Unlimited monthly bus pass is $40. That would leave about $75 for food, which if spent wisely like making large batches of soup, etc. might be enough (esp. if you tried to grow your produce). Granted, it wouldn't be fun as most entertainment expenses would have to be scrapped (hence why I said no TV or computer when determining electricity), but at least it would be doable.

Just out of curiosity, why are you wondering about living off of only $700? Even working only 30 hours per week at a minimum waged job would get you more than $700 / month...

I get less than that and my money goes towards the bills. Hubby is now retired and he pays all taxes, car and house insurances, and sometimes groceries. I take care of all utilities, life insurances, and groceries. Together, we are living on less than $1600 a month.

He used to make $5K a month and I used to make $3500 a month. Big drop and it took time, but we learned to live within that amount of money.

700.00 dollars is not enough. I have my grandkids a lot and they can eat you out of house and home. The price of food and gas going up is being a struggle

i would say it would be hard but no impossible--you have to make a budget and stick to it --and if you have kids that means doing without a lot of luxuries like cable and cell phones and eating out but it can be done
