The biggest problem with lying is you need to remember what you said. If you tell the truth, it's automatic.

Everybody has before im sure... but if you make it a habit nobody will trust you... it is best to be honest... nobody likes a cheater, thief or a liar.  Not to mention it is a sin!

Have you ever taken something that wasn't yours?  Used Gods name in vain (ex:  G*d d*mn it)?  If so, by YOUR OWN admission, you’re a lying thief and a blasphemer.  That’s only 3 of the 10 commandments.

The Bible says the punishment for sin is Hell (1 Corinthians 6:10).  God is a Judge who made The Law (Psalm 7:11) and if He doesn’t serve you the sentence/punishment (Hell), He wouldn't be a good judge.

Think of it this way:  You steal a car.  The evidence is there, there’s no doubt that you’re guilty.  If the judge lets you go, he wouldn’t be a good judge.  He would probably lose his job.  You owe $50,000; you have no money and if you don’t pay the fine you’re going to prison for life, no parole.  All of a sudden someone comes into the courtroom and says, “I have $50,000 and I want to pay this fine for my friend because I love him/her and I know s/he doesn't have the money.”  You are now free to go; your fine has been paid.

That’s how it is with Christ.  He shed His innocent blood on the cross because although God hates sin, He loves sinners (Romans 5:8 ) and doesn't want anyone to go to Hell (2 Peter 3:9).  That is why He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die for you – so you could have what you DON’T deserve:  Eternal life by faith in Christ (John 3:16).
You have to repent (stop/turn from your sin) and put your full faith and trust in Christ (1 John 1:9).  God knows you aren't perfect, all He wants is for you give Him your whole heart and live for Him (Matthew 22:37).

Every 24 hours, 150,000 people in the U.S. die – don’t wait until it’s too late (Job 14:5).  The Bible says life is like a vapor, here today and gone tomorrow (James 14:4).

Yes, everyone does it at one point on their lives, for one reason or another.
You lied to you parents when you were younger.
You lied to your boyfriend/girlfriend about something
You lie to you spouse about something or other
You even lie to your kids when you need to
You boss, friends, etc.  a lie here or there, but you have to remember what you lied about or you will be in lots of trouble later. LOL

Yes I have lied before but it was not nothing big or serious; just a small lie. Like everybody said up here that we all have lied at some point in our lives.

Of course I've lied. It makes me human. Because there's no one that can say they never have lied without lying. Even if it's just the usual: "How are you?" and answering with "I'm good." when you're not, it's lying. We've all done that at least once.

You seem to be a bit confused.  Taking something that is not yours is stealing.  That is a thief.  Taking God's name in vain is blasphemy.  Neither of those make you a liar.  Just saying.

I don't necessarily consider it a lie when someone says "how are you" and you say "good" when things really suck.  For the most part when someone asks how are you doing - they don't really want to hear anything other than "good" "how are you".  I know I don't.  It is something to say.  I remember when I was in high school and waiting tables that was a standard when I walked up to a table.  Until one day when a man spent 15 minutes telling me every problem in his life.  Smh.

You woke up this morning and you are breathing and walking.  You can swallow food without a feeding tube.  You can breathe without an oxygen tank.  You can get around without a wheel chair.  You are in fact "GOOD".

As far as saying something not to hurt someone's feelings.  I don't think that is bad.  I also do not think you should ask a question you know the answer to.  Eons ago I worked with a girl who was really over weight.  She knew this.  When you are pushing 300 pounds DO NOT ask someone "am I fat".  That is stupid.  Anyway, we had an employee meeting that morning and after the meeting she and I both worked but it was an hour or so before opening time and we went to Burger King and got some breakfast.  While at BK she actually asked me "do I look fat?"  I said "Well, I won't say you are fat but it would not hurt you to loose some weight".  Remember here - She weighs almost 300 pounds.  Not a joke.  Anyway.  She went back to work and told everyone what I said and cried and everyone got mad at me.  It did not make a difference when I told my side of it.   Now, I would probably just say "I am not answering that".  And shake my head.  It is stupid to ask something like that.    And as for "do you like my hair" again why ask.  If someone likes your new hair style they will tell you.   What difference does it make what somebody else thinks anyway.

Yes, I've lied before, everyone has- including you.  What you have did in the past doesn't make you; your present character and morals do.
