Do you like to read? If so, what are some of your favorite books? Do you like classic literature or modern novels better?

I absolutely love to read books! I will ready almost any book that I can get my hands on, be it fiction or nonfiction, mystery, suspense, history, fantasy, horror, science fiction, inspirational--you name it I will read it. The most challenging and absolutely the best book I have ever read is the Bible. It took me three years to read the Bible from beginning to end and it was the most inspirational and educational experience in my life.  :angel11:

I am an avid reader. I read about two books a week. I like many different types of books from the classics to sci fi to non fiction. I especially love books about history.

I like to read and I am a major Stephen King fan. I have read just about every book he has written. I also love other types of books. One of the best I have read was the Steve Jobs book.

When I was in school, whilst I was totally able to read, I never read one book from beginning to end. It was like I had a phobia or something. I could read a page out loud and then at the end, I would not be able to tell you what the book was about or anything. I remember when I started working, a colleague told me, it's not that you can't read, it's that you've never found a book that interests you so much that you're committed to it. Sure enough, she helped  me pick a book that I found interesting and I had no problem reading the book entirely over one weekend. I was so thrilled at my accomplishment and grateful for her help. Since then, I have gone on to read book after book, thanks to my old colleague.

I usually have 2 -3 books going at a time. I mostly prefer non fiction. Read "In the Heart of the Sea" Last week. Reading "Travels with Charley" and "Red Rabbit" currently.

I love to read, although I usually only get to read a couple of books each month. My favorite book is GREAT EXPECTATIONS by Charles Dickens because of the great characters a surprise ending. A book that was extremely popular in my book club was THE SHOEMAKER'S WIFE by Adriana Trigiani.

I absolutely love to read.
A few of my favorite series are:

The Hollows - Kim Harrison
Shifters - Rachel Vincent
Fever - Karen Marie Moning

I'm starting to really enjoy the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich too...

My favorite genre is Urban Fantasy/Paranormal, but I do read others!

Having been a reader for 53 years, I like self-help books the most of all.  Les Brown is a good motivational speaker.  I have Joel Osteen books as well.   :rainbow: :rose:

I love reading. I try to read some each day. Right now I'm reading Tale of the Body Thief by Anne Rice.
