Another Shooting
« on: June 11, 2014, 01:42:07 am »
Another shooting in a school in Oregon.  What do you think about all this?

My thoughts are as follows:

Have a great day!

Guns are NOT the problem.  Ngorecki - It is not hard to get a gun.

This is not news any more.  IT is just like "oh another one" and you go on.  IT is an every day thing now.  I can see both sides.  I can see where people can only take so much.  You are bullied and pushed around and nobody does anything.  Teachers say "grow a pair" to the victim.  So they solve it the only way they can.  I don't know that this was a victim of bullying.  Could have just been a crazy physco (yes they come in kids and teens).  I don't know.  I do know taking all the guns from the good people is not the answer.

Every time something like this happens that is the first thing stupid people want to scream.  I have a right to protect myself.  If everyone else wants to hand over their gun then more power to them.  But don't cry when someone breaks in on you and shoots your entire family while you sit and have no way to defend yourself.  Cause the bad guy will always have a gun.

I think they should stop putting news of these events on TV. They just seem to spur copy-cat killings elsewhere. They should at least not shooters by put the names of the shooters in the news to make them famous.

I think it is sad that our children can not even be safe going to schools. Our kids should not to have to go to school in fear. I think they should have tighter security.

There are several reasons for the increase. One, many of the kids and adults are medicated for supposed mental problems, when actually the drugs are causing the problems. Second, the media promotes these shootings, but publicizing them, which encourages copy cats. Thirdly, the godless, moral-less society we live in contributes to disregard for human lives.

These shootings are getting out of control.  It seems like a shooting every week/month some place in the US.

Guns don't kill. People do. More people are killed being beat up, with a fist, baseball bat, clubs, knives and no one is really saying anything there. It is just the guns. More people die in car wrecks. and oh thousands die in the hospitals evey year. But nope gotta pick on the gun owners.

Contrary to popular belief, mass shootings are not on the rise.

I think that it is a travesty how people are deciding that it is okay to do target practice at people.  If people are mad enough to do that, it makes you wonder what will happen next.   :rainbow: :rose:
