Memorial Day
« on: May 26, 2014, 12:08:23 pm »
My deepest sympathies to every household affected by a fallen hero – a service man or woman who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Remember, today is much more than "a day to Bar-B-Que" or "take advantage of a sale", Memorial Day is our nation’s way of remembering and valuing the lives that were forfeited for freedom and defense of the United States of America, the land of the free, and the home of the brave.

We are all proud and thankful for your sacrifices and we can never honor you enough.

Thank you. I don't know why people say "HAPPY Memorial Day", there is nothing "happy" about it. Many lives have been lost over the years. It's a day to pay respect and be reminded of the sacrifices that many have made. It is not about having a four day weekend or getting to go to the beach.

We went to a parade this morning and I think it was a real honor for those who served and died for our country. I was very proud to be around those people.
