You can get boxes just about anywhere. If you want fresh new boxes i suggest uhaul as many has said. If you don't really care about the condition( it being used) You can ask your local grocery, pharmacy, pizza parlors, and also your local postoffice. You can always check on craigslist as well sometimes people will be getting rid of supplies like boxes in bulk. You just have to really be careful. Another place is a movie theatre. Use to have a friend who worked there and they always got boxes. Good luck on your box hunt!

I am moving and can't seem to find boxes anywhere. It seems everyone is tearing them up now days. Any ideas?

Go to your local grocery store, they may give a bunch.  If there's a U-Haul near you, they sell boxes of all sizes, along with other packing needs.

Grocers, liqueur stores, most any store that sells packaged items. It is a good idea to let the manager of such places know you would like to have some of their 'empties'. Most will accommodate your wishes. UPS stores, UHaul, and party stores all have them for sale.

Stores and restaurants. I just moved a few months ago and got most of my boxes from the Family Dollar. I work at a restaurant and when we get our truck orders in I took those boxes with me as well.

When i moved out of college i found that most of the local grocer stores around my house would give me their empty boxes at the end of the day.

You can get big boxes for free at grocery stores. Just go at night when they are putting things in shelves and you can talk to the manager.

have good luck with local grocery stores - just ask them for some and they will not crush them and you can pick up daily and get as many as you need, all for free!   :peace:

Make sure you check the grocery boxes before puttng clothes in them.   Also , some of the uhaul places sell used boxes cheap.  They are pretty clean and also if you have a dollar store around you they usually have boxes.

As others have mentioned, grocery stores are usually a good source, although you'll want to be careful of any boxes used to store cold / frozen products. They can sometimes become damp (esp. if pulled out of the cold and into a humid environment) and lose some of its strength. Liquor stores are actually pretty good for boxes; the liquor / wine bottles are usually fairly heavy so the boxes are well made, the bottles going on the shelves don't need to be refrigerated so the boxes usually won't be damp, the lids sometimes flip open making it easy to pack, the bottle-separating inserts can also be used to help organize your packaging, and they sometimes have hand-holes in the sides making them easy to carry as well.

At the Supermarkets and they'll give the boxes to you for free.

Most stores will let you have their boxes, especially grocery stores and dollar stores. If all else fails check Craigslist for people who are giving away free boxes and there are a few places in large cities that resell used boxes for pennies.
