It's been a while since I had seafood. Now that it's getting warmer, I'm planning to have more fish and shrimp. Possibly going to Captain Georges and going crazy at the buffet in the very near future.

Ice Cream Cake Roll - need to get me one!   :star:

This sounds amazing. What is this incredible thing you speak of?!

My sister and I were having a talk about our favorite things last night and of course our favorite food was brought up. I told her it was something I hadn't had in forever... a burrito! A nice homemade one with a whole wheat tortilla shell, beans, romaine lettuce, and salsa. If I could find some awesome vegan sour cream, I'd put that on it too. Love food. lol

I haven't had homemade Lasagna in a long time. My mom won't cook it during the summer, but maybe next winter . . . .

Well I haven't had Manicotti for at least 20 years then last Sunday I decided to make it. It was so good I now plan to make it every three months. As far as Lasagna I make that every New Years Day. True Italian.

Cornbread - I love it but I always seem to get choked on it, especially if it's a little dry.

Dairy Queen Peanut Buster Parfait ... OMG.  I've been thinking about this for about a month now.  I've been sick for a week though and haven't given in to my craving yet.

DQ is just a hop - skip - jump from here and has a drive thru too!  I'm getting weaker .... oh no!

Hamburger Stroganoff. My mom used to make it. I have the recipe but it sure doesn't taste the same.

She also used to make a great chicken dish with cream of mushroom soup on top and I made it a couple times. That didn't taste the same either.

But my absolute favorite is chicken pot pie....not the ones with a crust like you buy in the store made by Banquet or Swanson...this chicken pot pie used pasta squares (a PA Dutch recipe) and the squares have to be homemade, not the store bought kind.  My son makes it once-in-a-while and does send some over but I haven't had it for at least a year now.

I haven't had a haggis in such a long time. I used to live in the United Kingdom and we would frequently take a trip up to Scotland where the haggis roam. I don't exactly know what ingredients are incorporated into this specialty sausage because some of the ingredients are kept secret. However it's a spicy sausage steamed in a sheeps stomach lining! Really tasty. I would recommend it but I realize to some, the whole process would be off putting.
