Yes, I believe vicks vapor is really effective, we are using it, And we can it in the foot and sock while sleeping, it help to stop coughing.

Vick's Vapor Rub is great. I use it when i have colds and my chest gets congested. It also helps open up my nasal passages.

we always keep vapor rub in the house! they say its good if you put it on the bottom of your feet and wear socks to stop a cough but i've never tried it

   I love Vick's Vapor Rub !! when ever I get a cold, I put some on my chest before I go to bed so I can breath clearer at night!!

I haven't thought about that for decades.  When we were kids my mom would rub it on our chests when we got a cold.  Do they still make it?

VICKI'S VAPOR RUB IS GOOD AND IT IS AND OLD PRODUCT THAT HAVE BEEN AROUND AND IS GOOD TO USE

I swear my mom must have owned part of the company.  Anytime we got even the slightest cold, out came the Vicks.  She would put in on our chest and back (have to admit it did feel good), and it did make us sleep and feel better.

Still in use here in my household.  I still remember the exact words screaming from my kids when they were kiddies, STOP NOT THAT.  Very good stuff.
