I have always been a cat lover, but since we moved to our new apartment this landlord does not allow pets.  We did have a black cat that we called Spooky but we had to give her to a friend.

1 small dog a pomeranian (very old) & a cat (very young) thats almost as big as the dog & both are sweethearts except the cat don't like children at all (it was a stray & wasn't a year old at the time)

Right now I only have a female black lab named Angel. But as a child I started out with gerbils then went to raising and breeding guinea pigs, then also had a black cat named Charcoal, a black and white Persian named Beauty after Charcoal was killed and also rabbits.

actually they are both useful in there own ways
dogs: protection from intruders, energetic keeps you active till they reach old age, bark whenever someone is near the house when properly trained
cats: gets rid of rats, mice, flies, bugs, and just about any harmful bug there is, also cats have a calming effect to people by there purrs in returns reduces stress.
all dogs and cats have there own personality so as for getting into trouble it really depends on there personality & training.

One doggie. He pretty much rules the roost(and whose fault is that!). Any way we adopted him last spring and have been training him. He is very smart but very willful but otherwise a good dog.

I have two turtles and a dog. It's the first dog I've ever had. I never understood why people loved their dogs so much. I thought it was just animal, not a big deal, BUT now that I have a dog, he's not just an animal, he's my baby!!!! lol

My friend just got her 10 year old son a couple of hermit crabs.  I just don't get that as a pet.
