Inexpensive computer printer ink
« on: April 13, 2014, 02:41:55 am »
I have a hp printer that I have not used in awhile because the
Ink  is so expensive. Where can I purchase some inexpensive ink?

It cost me about $48.00 at best buy.

actually you should buy a lazer printer it my be more expensive then an ink printer but in the long run its less costly then an ink printer. Also no matter where you go ink cartridges are the same price (or close to the same price) & with a lazer printer you don't have to spend money for ink. :cat:

I've tried purchasing ink through different avenues.  Amazon, wal-mart, ebay.  The most practical was refilling the cartridges on my own.  Sometimes when I thought I got a heck of a deal - I'd receive it and there was just enough ink in it to print a couple invoices and it went bone dry.  I hardly ever by ink any more.  My husband does for his printer.  My printer hasn't been used in years.  If I can't get my files to his computer than I save what I need on a junk drive and print it off at the library or an office max.  10 cents here or there has been much cheaper for me than $80 for color and black and white ink.

Try Amazon. I also have an hp printer, and I bought 2 refill cartridges for $11.

I think going with Canon printers is a good for ink... I heard Epson, waste a lot of ink starting up I believe...  You might want to research laser printers.... The initial cost is expensive, but in a long run will save you money on ink and such.... Just remember to look for color and black ink, some laser printers are mono

I've found the cheapest ink on ebay, but I have to agree that a laser printer will save you much more on ink. I love my laser printer, I bought it on sale at Office Max and ended up only paying about $75 for it.  I've saved so much money using it instead of my old inkjet!

eBay!! I buy in quantity for less! The ink is just as good as the OEM brands.

I have been thinking about buying a laser printer, tired of buying ink. And my printer is not as compatable to my new computer. I can print sometimes and the sometimes not. It is a pain.

If your ink cartridge is refillable you can buy ink on ebay and refill your cartridge. That will save you alot of money. But first you need to find out if your cartridge is refillable.

I used Lexmark for many years and refilled my cartridges, but then I had to purchase a more updated printer and now my cartridges are not refillable  >:(

I think there are a lot of refill centers for HP printers, but I also tend to favor certain outlets offering refurbished ink too. I like to use Amazon's available vendors and price around from there. I tend to be diligent when looking at the rating of the vendor.
