Are amber alerts In your own opinion As good as they could be or do you think they can be perfected a little better?  Why do you belive so?

I don't know.  I'm sure they could be improved.  But I thin they are already good.

Yes i belive The Amber Alert System is wonderfull. I belive they could make it better if they wanted to. But what i'm wondering is how would they even make it better? I mean.. They already put the alert on cellphones, tv, news etc. I belive the amber alert system is decent and very usefull (:

It is fine the way it is.  Not sure how to make it better.  They release the alert when they get it.  You cannot make people accept the alerts.  As of now, the government cannot force a person to receive the alerts, you can't make people look at them.  It is a good system but I guess if I had to give a way to improve there are times when they could give more information.  Useful information.

With everyone using cell phones today, they should broadcast those Amber Alerts so that many people using those cell phones will get them.  It would certainly make more people aware of a situation concerning a child that could end up in a bad way.

I agree and some phones have that option..One of my old phones had it..the one i use now doesn't..But i can go to google play and download an app

With everyone using cell phones today, they should broadcast those Amber Alerts so that many people using those cell phones will get them.  It would certainly make more people aware of a situation concerning a child that could end up in a bad way.

They do.  But you have to sign up for them.  I do not think I have ever received an amber alert for MY county.  Or even a neighboring county.  It is always several counties away or even another state.  I do think it is a good system but I do know it has caused a lot of problems because say amber alert says a blond boy in a green car.  Then people who are doing nothing wrong and don't even really match the description get pulled over because some nut with a cell phone is calling 911.  It is good when it is used right.  But it sucks to get pulled over and talked to by a cop who is acting on a 911 tip that is totally bogus.

I think the Amber Alert system is great. It is one thing our government got right. Has saved many children and even though they have found a few deceased it helped parents with closeure . We have not had any in our county, but a  quite a few throughout the state and a lot of them were found.

I think when it first came out it was great but I believe they try to improve the system with changes in technology.  Everything always can be better. What is sad is no matter what we do the predators keep finding ways to kidnap our children.  Now we have to worry about the predators on the internet.
