I currently live in an apartment where I'm not allowed to have pets.  I have had dogs in the past and I felt very, very blessed.  I love animals.

Lately, I've had an opportunity to spend time with a couple of cats that hang out at my apartment complex and I've never owned cats; however, I can honestly say that I'm falling in love with them, as well. :)

Kitties will always steal your heart! :) Even though my mom and dad always had cats in their apartment (before my sister and I were born), my dad never totally warmed up to cats until my sister and I started bringing them in. lol Now there's one named Marilyn who's particularly attached to him, and vice versa. :)

I had a German Shepherd for about a decade until she passed away suddenly. We were told by the vet that she actually lived longer than most of her breed do. She was an angel. Now we just have a bunch of crazy cats!

We have a rat terrior/heeler mix. Dolly is a very playful dog. Almost 5 years old and she still acts like a puppy! Before her we had another rat terrior/heeler mix and he was totally the opposite of her! We got Buddy when he was 6 weeks old and he never played with toys, etc., even as a puppy. We had Buddy almost 10 years and then he got cancer. We really miss him and still think and talk of him often.

I called 9-1-1 yesterday for a dog, while being a passenger.  The small dog was glue-standing next to the I-5s soundwall as many cars zoomed passed it.  I can remember the thrill in my tummy, and hope the little dog made it.

My little one :) She's part basset, part beagle. Definitely has a personality all her own.... I'm pretty sure she's convinced that a, she's human and b, she's confused on whether she or I is the "mother". She'll be 7.... I don't know what the heck I'll do when something happens to her. She's a huge part of my life.

We have a five year old Rottweiller / Labrador mix.  :dog:  He is about 75 pounds in weight and he is the best pet I ever owned. He is very gentle with the children, he lays on the floor while they play around him, they sometimes fall accidentally on top of him and he has never bitten them even though I know he has ended up a little squashed. When we go Sledging in the winter, the dog doesn't like the kids screaming down the hill at an out of control speed, he tries to knock them off the sledge. I think he thinks he is rescuing them!

I have a border collie that I saved a few months ago, since my children are grown he keeps me company and is my baby! I am guessing he is around 2 years old, full of energy and loves kids which is a plus since my granddaughter enjoys playing with him. If I had the chance to rescue him again even though he can be naughty at times? Yes I would, and I wouldn't change a thing about my Ding!

Yes, I now have a pit bull that my son brought home.  I thought I was done with dogs a few years ago.  I do enjoy the dog I have now.  I just didn't want any more.

I don't have any dogs right now but I grew up with several.
The 1st was an english setter named pepper. He was definately my dog. I could brush him and put bow in his hair! Pepper was always king but we got a second dod a black lab who at 6 weeks was 25 lbs! and went on to be over 100 lbs! he was a great dog too very smart  and extremely protective.  The last dog was a chocolate lab who was very unquie lovable and protective! All were different but very much apart of the family. :rainbow: :rose: :peace:
