Diamond Candles
« on: April 03, 2014, 11:06:39 pm »
Has anyone ever heard of Diamond Candles?

They're scented candle with rings inside ranging from $10 to $7000

I bought me two so I'm hoping I get something that's expensive but I'm sure it's a rare chance in  getting the really big amount type rings. LOL!

If you want to buy one, you can get a 5% discount if you play the candle swipe game on facebook. xD

My niece bought all of her aunts one for Christmas.  I loved mine.  I loved the scent.  It burned real good and gave off a nice fragrance.  Of course I had to burn it up to get to my ring.  It was real pretty and sparkly but wasn't one the big $$ ones.  I gave it to another niece who likes the bling-bling jewelry.  I can't wait to get another one!  It's a real neat idea!
Have a wonderful day!

I would love to hear what kind of jewelry you get from it.

I bought one a while back.  The ring in it was not an expensive one, but it was very pretty.  I wore it every day until I lost it.  The fragrance was great; I really loved it.

Although I have heard of "Diamond Candles", I have not tried them.  I do believe though, that the "prize" inside is nothing more than a box of Cracker Jacks would give you so unless the scent and the "burning ability" of the candle is comparable to Yankee Candles, I don't think I would even bother.

I haven't heard of these, but it sounds interesting. I remember watching an episode of Tosh.0 where he bought his staff stuff from the Something Store (The segment of Tosh is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cI3Mv2yArNE). The Something Store is similar in that you buy a box of something for $10, and the "something" they send to you is worth at least $10 but could be worth more. For example in the Tosh.0 episode, although most got something they'd consider to be worthless, one of his staff actually got a Kindle. It might actually be a nice way to arrange a grab-bag / secret santa to ensure that everyone spends the same amount yet is exciting to see what everyone gets.

Yes I have heard of them but have never purchased any however have been so tempted.  That is so exciting the thought that you might get an awesome ring for the price of a candle which do seem to be high quality in and of themselves.  I may join you one day and see what I get.  Good luck to you.  Come back and let us know what you got - I would love to know !

I have not heard of those in particular, but have heard of bella j candles which are similar, but I don't think as rewarding.

How do they prevent the rings from getting damaged by the fire and melting wax?

I heard of them, but wouldn't get one.  My joints are so enlarged with arthritis the ring inside probably wouldn't fit.  ::) Nice idea though.  Great for gifts.
