house apartment or mobile home

Both have their advantages.  I am in a mobile home and quite happy.  It's in a community, so I do have neighbors - which I like.  But they are not as close as apartment neighbors would be.

Before we purchased out home in 2005, we lived in a mobile home and I loved it. Well I say I loved it, other than when there was bad weather. We moved because we were having another baby and needed more room. If I ever did purchase a mobile home I would make sure it was NOT in a park, they are usually expensive on the lot rent and some have crazy rules, such as we were not allowed to have anything on our deck like a barbecue grill, potted plants. They told you what kind of curtains you could buy and hang. They told you how many INDOOR cats you could have, one. So I would think on that first.

I've owned my own home for the last 10 years (2 different homes) and I will say I would rather live in an apartment. There are so many hidden expenses in owning a house. In the last 6 months I've needed a new garage door, had to have a tree cut down, new roof, and new plumbing lines in my downstairs bathroom.

I have lived in all three. It is alright living in a mobile home as long as you own the property, you can pretty much do things to your yard that you can't do if someone else owns the land (done that too and did not like it) I also lived in an apartment. It was quite and nice neighbors who looked out for each other. Some places are not that way. I was just lucky. Now we have a small house in town that we are slowly remodeling. But in our part of the country we don't have as extreme weather as they do in other parts. I would love to move back out in the country some day.

I feel safer in a house than a mobile home, especially during storm season.

I don't know about it.  But are you have to pay for parking since you have a mobile home?... For me I like house because you don't have to share garage with anyone.

I live in a mobile home that is set up as real estate.  It is set up on a permanent foundation and has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths.

When I lived in an Apartment, it was hell.  This guy lived over me and I think he wore the heaviest boots he could find.  It was very distracting.  I bought a Condo and it wasn't any better.  A mobile home isn't my favorite although some are really beautifully inside, give me a brick house every time.

We've lived in all of the above and own two now... we want to sell our current house an move to an apartment with NO upkeep...

We live in an old house that is cold in the winter and hot during the summer.  I want to buy a trailer, and that is because this is the family house of my husband.
