I live in a residential area, but there are "Farmer's Markets" around in the summertime, plus I love to garden, but have not had much luck with too many vegetables.  Mainly grow tomatoes in large pots.

Ehh, there are a ton of farms in this area, but I don't know if it is considered a farming state.  Currently we have a small garden but we don't really do much with it, mostly just tomatoes.

i live in iowa so yep big farming state.  i also plant all my own vegetables and some of my own fruit as well.  it would be nice not to have to buy any fruit at all but their are certain things that just wont grow in every state.

My grandparents always had a huge garden and pappaw had every fruit imaginable.  Of course it took years to get to what it was when I was a kid.  Maybe if I ever have grand kids they can get some blue berries off these stupid little shurbs that seem to not be growing that I planted.  I might get 4 or 5 berries off the 6 trees I have. lol.  We have however got a few figs off the fig trees.

I used to live in WA and I worked on a flower bulb farm.  Best job I ever had, sure do miss it!  Now I live in the desert.  No farms around here.  Though I'm thinking about trying to start a little indoor garden.  Hopefully I get figure it out :)

I live in RI and there are not a lot of farms here anymore. We used to have lots of dairy farms but most of them are gone now. It's sad to see the farms go. Most people don't want the work or to be tied down.

I live in southwestern Minnesota in a small rural town.  Farms are all around!  Corn, soybeans are the main crops.  Many farmers are also big hog farmers.

I live in Eastern Washington which is a rural area and farming is the way of life for most of the area. There are fruits and vegetable stands almost everywhere you go. And don't forget those tobacco too. Livestock etc. etc. I had an outside garden  last year and am looking forward to a new one this year.
