Dog breeds
« on: March 21, 2014, 09:33:26 pm »
Whats' your favorite dog breed? What are the breeds of your dogs? My dog is a chihuahua and i think shes pretty cute. Before her i had a rottweiler. Are there any weird mixing of breeds that you love? I know a friend that has a chiweenie. A chihuahua and a weenie dog mixed. Shes so cute. Her name is Charlie.  I think toy dogs are cute too. but they are too small, i would lose them.

I don't have a favorite breed because I love dogs. I have had small ones, medium and large ones. Right now my dog is a medium to large. 95 pounds(part lab and part German Shepard) .  I love him to death he needed a home so we gave him one. our last dog I found when he was thrown out of a van and landed in front of me. I took him home and we had him til he passed away. (Golden Retriever) before him we had a Cocker spaniel, and I could go on forever but as you can see I love dogs.

I tend to like the larger breeds more than the smaller ones... The smaller the dogs, the more noise they make (at least in my experience). I used to have a grand mastiff who was an absolute gentle giant. I now have a terrier mix (we think it might be part pitbull but I got her from a local rescue and they didn't have a very good idea what actual makeup she was). My terrier is much more active, tends to bark more, and definitely chews much more than my mastiff did. But it could also be just an age issue; my terrier will be turning 2 in April, so I think she still has a lot of puppy tendencies.

I favorite is the Pekingese, they say, they have " the heart of a lion". I believe it is true. We now have English Bull dogs and they are sweet, but the Pekingese has the best personalities to me. But what is weird is here in the past few years I have have been having a hard time finding them. I wouldn't like to buy another one, but here in GA it is really hard to find them.

We've got a Boxer, an Australian Kelpie, and had a Miniature Pinscher who passed away at the ripe old age of almost 15 years old.  Our Min Pin taught our Boxer and Kelpie everything they know!  He was a smart little guy and I miss him so much!  I would definitely have another Miniature Pinscher in the future.  I also love Akitas and would love to have one someday.

I have a black lab and she is very much a part of the family. Also my first dog since my mom and brother were both allergic so I couldn't have till I was married and on my own. But my husband used to have a full blooded wolf that he had had since it was a pup and he witnessed its parents killed.

My first dog was a toy fox terrier.  My other dogs were all mixed breeds.  My dream team of pets, however, is a mantel great dane, a Swissy, a black/white or tricolor papillon and a black Manx cat.  :dog: :dog: :dog: :cat:

My first dog was a German Shepard named King, he was as big as I was. I've learned to love Rotts, they are so sweet.

I don't have a dog right now, but I have had Labrador Retrievers.  I have had Rottweilers and I now want a chihuahua of my own.  My hubby's niece has a chihuahua she named Sugar.  They are cute little dogs.   :rainbow:

I don't have a favorite one, but I owned a mix breed between a shitzu and a terrier.  She is cute and the best part of all is that she is satisfied with 20 minutes of TLC.
