Cotton Candy
« on: March 21, 2014, 09:09:23 pm »
I recently got a cotton candy maker and it is phenomenal! I love it. I love experimenting and making different flavors. I get to make it out of hard candies. I can't wait to try to make cotton candy with jolly ranchers. I would reccommend anyone getting one! It's soo worth it. when you have the taste for it, make it yourself! no need to go out and buy any.

I like getting cotton candy when at the carnival, but it's just a special treat to me. My family needs to be encouraged to eat healthier and something like this (I'm assuming isn't small) will just take up more room along with other things my family hardly uses (including a juicer).

How do you make it from hard candy?  I thought you made it from the sugar crystals?  I would love to have one.  I love me some cotton candy.

That would be interesting to see. I never heard of a home unit. The flavors are something Tha I wonder how you do. Do you use extracts or syrups? What colors do you make? I do like the taste of cotton candy and the way it melts in your mouth.

I have heard of the home units but who knew you could put other candies in there like Jolly Ranchers? I guess they melt? I am thinking of getting one of these just to try it out. My kids would love it.  ;) :thumbsup:

Don't any one of you think that maybe that's a little too much sugar? I agree that it's a nice treat
occasionally, but wouldn't a person be tempted to have it too often if they could  make it
at home?  :party:

Don't mean to be a party pooper, but I would personally vote no on buying a cotton candy
maker. However, I bet the kids would love it. Still not very good for them, and I think they'd onverindulge too if they could make it any old time.
  ::)

I love cotton candy. Especially the blue kind! It always reminds me of going to the carnival when I was younger!

I'd like to have a cotton candy maker but I have limited room in my kitchen. Do tell us how the Jolly Ranchers work out.

If you google them or look on amazon you can probably find them.  I have seen them in the novelty magazines that come in the mail for less than $50.  Having one in my home would probably be a bad idea.  And to whomever said it melts in your mouth....yes it does...and runs down to your hips and clings for dear life. lol

That sounds awesome, but I don't really need any more things that are unhealthy in my life.  I'm working really hard to lose the pounds I need to first so something like that would probably set me back.  It would be awesome though for those days when you really just want a small piece.
