Has anyone ever spent more than ten hours or more on a flight? If so, how was this experience?

I was lucky enough to fly to Europe 3 times.  The flights were about 8 to 10 hours, depending on where we landed.  It was ok, we watched a movie, ate, and slept as they were night flights.  We left Kennedy Airport about 8 PM and crossed the Atlantic at night.  It was so neat to watch the sun rising when you were up in the air.

I have also flown over the Atlantic on 8 hour flights to Europe.  They are long but you sleep and eat etc.  I don't ever recall a 10 hour flight.  I try to sleep as much as possible on such long trips whether it be a flight, bus, whatever.  I hate traveling and I often get jet lag or out of sorts due to all the traveling.

For sure! Old non-jet airplanes take a long time to make the first stop to refuel.

The longest flight I've ever been on was to Florida. It took only 4 hours

I can barely make it through a three hour flight. So I can't imagine ten hours of going totally insane.

I've only been on a 3 1/2 flight, but my Dad has and for him he hates it.

I have NEVER been on a plane and NEVER want to.  I did take a 4 minute tour in a helicopter.  That was enough.  And we only went up 4000 feet. lol.

I was thinking about the missing Boeing 777 that has likely crashed and that just reiterates the fact that I do not want to ever fly.

The longest flight I've ever made is from Chicago to Miami.  Although I have done it a couple of times.  I don't know that I'd be interested in flying for that long.  I'd rather hope on a cruise ship and make my way over.  Sure would take a lot longer but I love the water more than the air.

If you are going to fly for 10 or more hours my first bit of advice is to make sure you get up out of your seat and walk back and forth at least a few times during the course of the flight.  I made the mistake of not doing this and the flight I was on even got delayed so I was on it more than 10 hours and by the time I got off my legs looked like tree stumps cause they had swelled so badly.  The other piece of advice I can offer would be for you to make sure to wear some sort of support hose, cause that helps with swelling.  Other than that, sit back, relax and take it easy cause it's a long flight for sure.

I'm not a flyer,,,,  would rather drive,,,   but If I  have to fly,,,  keep your legs moving by getting up and walking if you can several times.    stretch them out in front of you if possible.  leg cramps is not a good feeling  lol

No, I've never flown that long. I think I'd probably sleep most of the time.
