I never tried it, my husband would not approve.  I did work with a girl who met her live-in boyfriend (who has now been with her 5 years) on a on-line dating site.

i met my bf online but not from an online dating website.

my friend did that and her bf turned out to be married.

I have a friend who met her now husband on eHarmony & have a baby together & are a perfect match.   I think online dating is no better or worse than meeting people in a club, you just have to do a little research if you use the free dating sites because there is no regulations or checks.  The paid ones do your research & back ground checks for you.  I think they are pretty legit.

I met my husband online and we are married 3 years now. We are happy and perfect for each other. We are just lucky to found each other that really wanted to settle down.

You won't meet your "destined one" if you don't try... Just be careful about it... Online can be a good place to meet good/evil people

Don't like it, not for me. But have been married for over 27 years, so it doesn't affect me one way or another.
Just have heard some goofy stories over the years!

I've met some jerks online and I've met some pretty cool people online, one of which has become a lifelong friend.  I've been anti-online dating (other than the fb connects) for the last 5 years but when I move I'm going to give it another try. It has its risks, as with anything else, but it's a great resource.

I met my boyfriend online, we are celebrating our anniversary this month on the 16th and have a beautiful daughter together! You just have to be careful on the sites though!

I am using it now, there has been some crazy people I find but I don't go out much otherwise so its not a bad way to meet ladies.

I had horrible experience with online dating with WAY WAY to many cons (ei: others wanting for you to join other sites, stalkers, money grubs, lies about there profiles, and ect...). The chances of actually meeting someone in real life in any online situation is very very slim basically 1 out of a trillion just like the lotto and in real life is 1 out of 5. So basically if you do online dating have ground rules first and for most to advoid cons in general and the first meeting should be in a public place thats well known also keep some information about yourself to yourself (to advoid stalkers and cons). O and don't use a MMO or a MMORPG to date ether and date more so in real life rather then online.
