how do you convince a person thir parent is getting to the point they need special care,i take car of a 98 yr old lady and her daughtr refused to accepts she cant hardly walk or feed herself

The daughter has you to take care of her, and in her head that's all that matters.If she stayed with her a few days maybe she could see what you are trying to tell her.

I don't think anyone is really ready to admit they can't take care of themselves, so I hope someone like you is around in a few years when I get there.

yes ,but sometimes it is hard not to get frustrated when i know she is sick but her daughetr appears to not care

Hard thing to answer! Everyone is different! Depends on the type of care they need and you can provide.
If it to hard to handle this it may be time, but either way God bless for taken care of her.

tried that just gave resignation and of course hr whole family including my sisternlaw are begging me to stay even doubled my money but i dont want to sit here and watch her die,plus im about to have to raise my 3 grandkids4,9,10 they mothrs going to jail

Let her take care of her for awhile and she will see the condition she is in.  It is a very hard thing to do!!!!

This is so sad, and very unfortunate. I feel sorry for anyone having to deal with this or has gone through it. I have lost both my parents. Sad times.

Call social services someone should help.Wow just to live to 98 would be something.My grandma lived till 92 and finally moved in with my aunt but only when her health was bad.

welw update is i quit now sh taks her to adult daycare and pays a neighbor triple what she was willing to pay me ,i knew she had the money was just nasty to me thinks i wasnt worth the money im not bitter more power to hr money tight at moment but i have my life back no more 12 hr days for 15$
