both husband and wife
« on: February 26, 2014, 07:07:53 am »
if they have the same illness, did they give it to each other? [ha]
Diabetes, for example.
I have seen two couples that have the same illness.
Sometimes, one spouse will be doing better than the other because one helps himself (herself) and the other one "doesn't care" to help himself (herself).

I would say yes and no. But this is my own opinion. Some form of illnesses are hereditary. So that would answer the "No". But for some involves living the lifestyle. If both you and your spouse enjoy the same unhealthy foods don't you think they will both get the same illness in the future?( like diabetes, high cholesterol, etc.).

I would say their common lifestyles has more to do with developing diabetes than catching from one another.
Have a wonderful day!

I absolutely agree that it's probably more the common lifestyles that does it.  Especially with something like Diabetes.  Their eating habits is probably what caused it and since most couples eat pretty much the same stuff, there you go.

Diabetes is not catching.  But being over weight and the way you eat can cause you to have it thus the reason 2 over weight not healthy eating people can live in the same house hold and have it.
