I was researching on working in an exciting city, because my love is ill, that would be cool thing to do, it is a dream-thing. You need certificates in order to work in employment areas. These certificates are proof you can do it, ongoing education-bill.  In my discoveries  :present: There are: CPR, fork-lift drivers, bank teller, medical terminology,  :dog:care and  :cat:care, typing, dish washing, security guard, table prepare, kinds of customer service, food inspector.....some expire in one-two years, and some you are paying 400.00 dollars. So nowadays there are paper-proof that you have the can-do attitude.

There should be NO minimum wage at all! No one stays in a job for long at starting pay, they are either let go or given a raise. The minimum wage is strictly a political football. A job has a certain value to the one offering it, a pay rate has to be set by the market place of labor or it will not be filled.

Wrong!  Walmart hires people in and a lot of positions are only min wage.  You stay there for ONE year before you get a chance to get a raise.  Then it is based on your evaluation.  There are tons of companies that start people at min wage and give a raise maybe once a year and it is usually only 10 or 15 cents.  Dollar General is another one that is like that.  Most fast food places are that way too.  And a year is a long time.

And the "market place" can't set the wage.  There are always people who are willing to work for the wages offered.  People bellyache about the Mexicans.  They are WILLING to work for $7.25 an hour so they get the job.  Back when min wage was $5.25 an hour I know a girl who was offered a job for $8 an hour and the b*tch threw the application across the table at the interviewer and said "I'm not working for that".  That was was $2.75 ABOVE min wage.  And truth be known she wasn't worth $5.25 an hour.

While walking home from work today i just had a thought about the minimum wage and its effects and asked myself what if wages are earned by the years people work instead of what minimum there it just crossed my mind. (the cost of living can be reduced by being inventive and intelligent basically look up ways to improve, reduced and maybe get rid of: aka coupons to reduced cost of food & stuff, electric magnetic generator to reduced or get rid of electric bill, a water collector type to reduced or get rid of water bill, switching stuff that uses gas to electric, growing food, riding a gas scooter or an electric one is even better or build your own out of a bicycle. Though it takes time and money but in the end it'll be worth it) O and raising any minimum wage is a double edge sword both raising and harming at the same time for everyone no matter what type it is and what type of jobs. :cat:

Raising the minimum wage to $10.10 per hour is THE WORST IDEA POSSIBLE.  First of all, it will only be for FEDERAL WORKERS - and that will leave many of us in the dust!!!  Secondly, many of the low wage jobs will become a thing of the past and many more people will be out of work.  That, coupled with AMNESTY (another BAD IDEA) will completely ruin the bare job market that's already in sad shape!!!!!

I think its a bad idea because the economy's still shot. Now every store will up there prices to compensate and that will just take more money out of everyone's pocket. The only good thing about it are the minimum wage workers will earn more but it kinda messes over the rest of the people unless your rich it will affect you. Why give an increase if your just going to just lose it because every business will up there prices so the increase will be for nothing

I dont think it really means anything because it is so inflated... companies will just pass the cost on to consumers making that 10.10 not go as far...

Sure increase the min. wage, but after taxes it's back to the min. of $7.  Might as will increase it to $15.

What is it? A ten dollar bill and ten cents. Big deal! I can do better than that!

It is about time he raised the min wage to $10.10, it is still not enough for a family of five.

I do think it is a critical point for the country.  Raise it to $10 and anyone who was making more than that before just got a pay cut.  And inflation increases pretty immediately and in no time at all those who were making the minimum wage are in the exact same position.  And everyone else is worse off.  Terrible for everyone.
