Daily Cash Email malware warning
« on: February 12, 2014, 04:03:35 am »
I clicked today's Daily Cash Email this morning, and Google Chrome gave me a malware warning:

Quote
Danger: Malware Ahead!
Google Chrome has blocked access to this page on www.fusioncash.net.
Content from socialsearch.com, a known malware distributor, has been inserted into this web page. Visiting this page now is very likely to infect your computer with malware.
Malware is malicious software that causes things like identity theft, financial loss, and permanent file deletion.

Has anyone else gotten this warning?  ???

I have never received a message like this.  I have never heard of another member receiving this message either.

However, I can not load Yahoo mail on my computer. I also can not load You Tube. I can get Yahoo on my iPad. I had to forward my daily email from my iPad to my Apple email on my computer so that i could click on.

I also am not able to view Fusion Cash videos. I can click on but only get a blank page.

I do not know if this is related to your problem.

I didn't get a warning when I did the Daily Cash this morning. It worked well, the same as usual. If I were you, I would just wait a little while and then go back and try to do it again. The warning may have just been a one time fluke.

I have received this message a couple times now but while listening to RadioLoyalty. I actually came here to post about it and saw yours. I considered contacting support but not sure what to do. I stopped listening to RL and now am missing out on the credits.
The first time I saw it I remember it saying something about taking me to a place called "social ?" unfortunately I didn't write it down. It must be an ad that's running. I would hate to think that FC is running ads that could compromise our personal information.

This has never happened to me while opening my Daily email from FC. You may have to update your virus protection.

I didn't get that message, but I don't use Google Chrome to access FC or RL.
I  use Avast for my security software and frequently get messages about sites that it has blocked because Avast considers the site to have risk.

False negatives are part of the downside of protective security systems.  Depending on your security software, you will get blocks of sites that other software will not block.  Hard to tell up front whether the site that was blocked will be bad, but I'm okay with the blocks.

Makes me wonder how many sites are let through that might actually be bad and cause problems.  That's why I run Malwarebytes and do virus scans periodically.

I guess I got fortunate then because I use google chrome and didn't get that message when I opened my fusion cash email. I got lucky then. Hopefully that doesn't happen anymore to you or anyone else.
