how many of you like these new tv reality shows

I watch Deadliest Catch and Fast n' Loud. They are reality shows, but I think they are OK.

  I do not believe that all they do in reality shows are true. They know they have to do things so people will watch. I don't watch them, and can't see any reason why anyone does.

The only reality shows I watch is American Idol, Amer. got talent and things like that. My husband will watch swamp people and a couple others but that is only when we go home to my parents.

I can get hooked on reality shows - at least I did in the past. It's the conflict and drama that keeps people watching. It's like a soap opera, but instead it's real people.

On the flipside, a lot of these shows are scripted because people don't have that many conflicts and drama in their everyday lives.

The only reality shows I enjoy watching are The Amazing Race, Dancing With the Stars, and every few years, American Idol.

I don't watch much tv, so I limit it to programs that I really find interesting.

I only watch X-Factor and American  Idol, which I guess are sort of reality shows, but no others.  All the others are a waste of time.

Most, if not all, of the so-called Reality Shows are scripted & edited to make a storyline go a certain way.    They might be real people, but the situations are all for dramatics, even being prompted on what to say & they are filmed over & over until they get it right.  This has been shown time & time again, with people pointing it out all over the internet.   

They are all so fake.  The exploitation of the socially inept on MTV is just plain sad.

Why do they call them reality shows when there is NOTHING real in them? I've only been able to stomach a few minutes of any of them.

I agree with those of you who long for more insightful programming.

I don't like the fact that the powers that be that make television programs try to appeal to the lowest common denominator. 

No offense to those of you who like them.  I know that sometimes one can be mesmerized by train wrecks and other disasters.

Wish they would take them off TV period. Starting with Survivor or whatever its called- stupid. I watched the very
first one and can't believe it's still on TV. What the hell is so great about them?

Some i'd never watch like The Bachelor or Dancing with Stars.Others like The Amazing Race is very good and fun to watch. Like *bleep* stars will see if they bleep out that world beginning with P used to be better seems to be made up now.

I don't like television reality shows. They aren't really reality anyway, not to me. I've never been a fan and I don't think I ever will be. I have watched episodes of shows like Survivor and Amazing Race but those are more interesting to me than the other so-called reality junk.

i don't watch them personally, it's interesting to see how vested people have become in these people's lives

I like reality shows, but only the competition type.  I'm not a fan of the housewives or Kardashian type shows.
