Best Friends?

  Anyone have a really good best friend? I don't have many friends, but when i do make friends, they either become the really good ones, or the really bad ones. I have two friends that ive known since 1st grade and i still talk to them. we have all gone our different ways but we still keep in touch.

had a lot of friends in school,,,,  sadly we have grown apart.  My best friend now is my hubby and  my daughter.  I guess that is all I need

I'm like jenniferhoder, I am very lucky, I have many "good" friends, but besides my family, I have 2 best friends who mean the world to me.  We have been friends for over 20 years, through marriages, birth of children, sadly a divorce, deaths, and a cancer, most everything and have always been there for each other.

I had two very good friends as I grew up. Wish we had kept in contact but... I do have a good friend though that lives a couple hours away and we talk.

I have a couple I've stayed in contact with off/on since I was 11. They're more "ahead in life" than I am at the moment, so the common ground is harder to find nowadays. I always think back to a quote from the movie Stand By Me: "I never had any friends later on in life like the ones I had when I was 12. Jesus, does anyone?"

I have one "Best friend since 8th grade."  And 3 or 4 good friends that I can call anytime.  My mother was really my best friend, but she's gone now.

Facebook seems to keep you connected with everyone you ever met...but having a handful of friends is all you need.  Friends you grew up with share your history...and  are good to keep in touch with.

I have a best friend, who I have known for about 30 years. That is longetr than most marriages. She always is there for me when I am going through personal trials. It is good to have someone to talk to who supports you , but is not a family member. That makes you now that they are there by choice rather than blood. You can choose your friends, but you can't choose your family!
