80s music of course. I like anything with dance music with heavy use of synthesizers, 80s techno and 80s electro, hard rock, 80s power ballads, 80s heavy metal, 80s thrash metal, 80s power ballads, and 80s industrial bands like Ministry and Nine Inch Nails.

I really like many different genres of music... Growing up it was rock hands-down, but now I'm getting more into dance, R&B / Hip-hop, and a little country (esp. the newer country that has more pop and rock influences). I also like songs that aren't really a true genre: mashups, parodies, cross-genres (a song arranged with music from a different genre, like when The Gourds did Snoop Dogg's "Gin and Juice" in a bluegrass style), etc.
