California or Florida
« on: January 27, 2014, 06:20:22 am »
I know someone who moved to Florida from California. Florida has been having some cold weather for the last two or three weeks. I have "heard" so much about California being the best state for mild weather.

California has mild weather and does not have the humidity of Florida.

I agree that California is better...  Some parts aren't as "mild" but as a whole year round, it's mild and stays fairly the same.  You also don't have the tropical storms in California like you do in Florida.  :rainbow:

Yes CA does have mild weather but everything is so expensive there!

If I had to pick between those two states, I would definitely pick California.

I've never been to California before.  I've been to Florida a couple of times.  Trips to Disney.. Miami to board ships etc... so I've never gotten a taste of what it would be like to live there.  Temperature wise I loved the warmer weather.  Course I've always heard that Texas and Arizona are the best places to retire.  Guess I'll have to go to California so I have something to compare to.

I have been to Ca. a lot of imes, but it has grown so much i have no desire to go back and as far as Fl . i really don't care to go there either. I idea of a great vacation is to go some where it is cool in the hot season, like the high mountains or maybe another trip to Alaska.

Weather patterns change from year to year -- this year the east has been colder than the west.  Overall, I still think Florida is warmer than California and South Florida is the only tropical location in the USA other than Hawaii.

I love California because of the weather - and is one of the biggest reasons why I continue to live here.

I would say California. Even thought I have not been there, it is my dream place to live at when I grow up more.

I love California. I can't stand the humidity in Florida.
