I feel very strongly that parents should be very careful about what video games their children play. My grandson plays very violent kill the enemy games all the time. He is only 14. We have talked to my step daughter about it but she says that he is so addicted to them that they can't take the away. Scary!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The biggest problem I've seen with this is the people that don't seem to get the difference between reality and a video game.  I've been playing video games since I was 3 years old and I'm fine.  I have no desire to go around hurting people in real life.  In fact, in the mature games I play, I do it as more of a cooperative game.  I try to keep my teammates alive, not try to score the most points.

Up until I was probably 20 I had to play my games in the family room for all the world to see, while most kids/teens these days seem to play them on their computer or TV in their room.

Well that would depend on the game. If I monitor the game and feel okay with it, then yes. If not then no.
