Get started earlier than usual.....do certain tasks before bed.....set an alarm to remind you of the event you have to attend of where you have to go....and don't think about it, just do it.......just get moving, just do it......good luck....

If you're early, you're on time.
If you're on time...you're late.

The easiest way is to simply set your clock on your car/watch ahead about 5 minutes. That way, you'll always think you're a few minutes behind, but you're really not. Hope that helps.

Oh my gosh when I was in my late teens/early 20's I used to be chronically late ALL THE TIME! I was so inconsiderate! I look back now and wish I could put a finger on why I was always so late all the time. To visit friends, family, work, etc. The only thing that made it turn around for me was age and just getting a little more mature, and seeing things from other people's point of view.

You have to make the effort! If you have to get up a little earlier do it. People don't like waiting on others and employers don't like tardy employees.

I guess is the matter of setting your mind to it.  Bare in mind I am of Spanish descendant and we are known for always being fashionable late to almost anything.

I give the example of my hubby, he is always late when it comes to parties, appointments or the family things.  But he is on time when it comes to the more important things, like work, lawyers, courts, etc.

If you have a doctor's appointment and hubby is the one driving you have to tell him the appointment is 15 to 30 minutes before your schedule time of arrival, or he will leave the house at the time you tell him your appointment is.  But he gets up early and gets ready for work and is at his work on or before time.

Just set you mind to run on time and things will start going better for you.

I figure out what time I have to be there (let's say 2pm) and I know it takes 15 minutes to drive there, so I tell myself that I HAVE to leave no later than 1:35, giving myself 10 minutes room for traffic, or whatever.  The further away I'm going to more time I give myself to get there (30 minutes away, I give myself 15+ extra minutes).

I always determine the time I must leave the house to get to my destination.  Then I know how long it takes to get ready to leave the house....bathe, hair, dress, make the coffee, feed the parrot, or whatever.  I'm on time 98% of the time.  Occasionally I dawdle over morning coffee a little too long.

Being late everyday is a chose you make when you get up off a morning.  Occasionally is a accident.

I wake up two hours early. One hour is for getting ready and to eat something, and while I don't always need that much time, it prevents a need to rush. I also have one hour to get to where I am going.

There are occasion that I fall back to sleep when I "rest for a minute" but other than that, its very easy for me to be on time... I just gotta make sure I get at least 3 hours of sleep or I don't at all because I will sleep right through the afternoon

I hate being late.
That being said, being on time with two children is nearly impossible.

I have a really hard time being on time. For those of you who are always on time... how do you do it??

It's easy.  If I have to be somewhere at a certain time I get ready and leave in time to be there at that time.
I use to go to church with a family that came in EVERY WEEK at 10 after.  If you can get there EVERY WEEK at 10 after you can get there at 10 til.  But then they couldn't make an entrance and cause a commotion and everybody know they had arrived.

:bootyshake: watch a lotta TV. I watch enough to sorta 'train' me to 'be ready to start' early ... gets me into the habit of 'planning to stop doin` what I'm doin` within the ten minutes before the next thing (longer than the ten minutes, if I have to 'get ready' & 'travel further than from my computer to my easy-chair'  )

Sounds like maybe THAT'S why you're late all the time ... `coz you're too busy doin` the thing you shoulda stopped early so you could 'be ready to start' on time  8)
