Missed a whole week of FC

I got a bad virus on my computer and it cost me a whole week of missing out on FC, not to mention the money!   Had to have it fixed and since computer guy is in a different town it was a real challenge.  Not sure where I got the virus but it must have been a bad one.  I'm wondering if it was from Radio Loyalty since I was always getting pop-ups when I was on that site.  Kinda not sure what to do from here.  The computer guy said the anti-virus stuff on computers can't guard against every kind of virus.  Anyone have any suggestions or comments on this?  I would appreciate hearing from yall.  thanks

I think you need malware protection. Cnet has very good free programs.

I went to the site http://malwaretips.com/blogs/remove-windows-malware-firewall/ to help with my computer issues. The programs I downloaded were free and my computer ran much better.

Thank yall for the response but I have malware on my computer and I run it every other day or so just to be sure but evidently this virus was not detected by malware program.  The tech who fixed the computer for me said it was a rogue antivirus program designed to trick people into sending them credit card info. to "buy" the full version to remove the virus.  It popped on my screen and gave me no option to close it;  the only thing I could do was to buy the antivirus program they offered.  I didn't do this, thankfully but just used control-alt-delete to close the computer down.  Then when I brought the computer back up, it was still on the screen.  I shut it down again and contacted my computer tech.  Cost me a little money, but he at least was able to get rid of the rogue virus.
