Because they're children of close cousins ... although, are children-of-close-cousins really 'like that'? or is that just an 'urban legend'? (This article says cousin-mating is okay, but it doesn't mention retardation.)

But if it's not 'just an urban legend,' it shows that something supernatural truly is with the children of Isaac & cousin-Rebekah
