Stop Asking
« on: January 11, 2014, 01:47:14 pm »
I really wish that these surveys would stop asking what type of Hispanic I am before asking what my race is.  It gets really annoying after a while and is a waste of a webpage for a good portion of survey takers.

Be nice if it went away but they want answers from all groups of people. I just have to play along, be honest and answer the questions and get the incentive.

It is frustrating, I know, but they do have to get a relative sample of the population for their results to be good.  They want to know who is using what types of products and that is the whole point of the surveys.

The thing is, they ask you what type of Hispanic you are, and then if you say Not Hispanic, they ask you what your race is (which has Hispanic listed again)...so why ask what TYPE of Hispanic somebody is before asking if they even ARE Hispanic?
