Legalizing Pot in Colorado
« on: January 01, 2014, 08:39:51 pm »
What are your thoughts about this?

I'm a resident of Utah and I've never spoked pot so I'm pretty neutral.  I recognize that smoking marijuana can be therapeutic for some people.  I have friends, here in Utah, who smoke it illegally and it seems to have a different effect on different people.  I have one friend who was more intense and high maintenance after smoking it.  He was easy to get along with when he stayed away from it.

What do you think?  Is it a user friendly substance for you?  Would you smoke it if it was legal in your neck of the woods?

Have a great day!

it's hard to say honestly I have mixed feelings because Pot made my sister act like a whole different, forgetful person when I was younger and often was to busy getting high to care about us hanging out so it would make me upset often so... I'm not sure honestly for personal biased reasons.

Yes, I think it is time to legalize it and make tax revenue from the sale of it.
Have a wonderful day!

I have never smoked it, but i do understand some one in a lot of pain using it. When mother was dying at home with cancer a friend would bring some out for her too smoke ( he was a cop). It helped ease the pain. She could not swallow meds at theat time and was hooked up to the meds. She did not like them and would take a couple of pufs and calm down. But just to be smoking it because you want to get high, i don't think it really shoud be allowed.

I say it should be legalized, not only do it help people who are dying to feel relaxed but it help others who suffer form bad nerves as well....it is a persons right to relax any way they see fit....if they not bothering you, don't worry bout how much they smoke unless you put in on it....

They say that the legalization will cut down on crime while at the same time bring in revenue to the state. We'll see if this turns out to be true. :peace:

If alcohol is legal then pot should be. I personally hate people who use either one. I think all drugs should be legal just keep it away from me. :P :-X :-\ >:( :D ;D :bad:  :peace: :angry7: :BangHead: :bootyshake: :bs:

I have a personal biased against the legalization of pot as well.  My best friend's ex smoked pot.  I don't think Colorado's legalizing pot is a good idea.  Whatever happened to saying no to drugs?  Deciding to legalize drugs certainly won't do anything but worsen the drug problem both in the US, and worldwide.

I have mixed feelings about this situation.
There are gonna be a lot of people who are just gonna be smoking it like crazy.
I think if it were to be legalized, it should just be for medical purposes.
Not for everyday use.
Like how narcotic medicines cannot be obtained unless they are prescribed.
I think that's what they should have done.
But then again, no matter what, legal or illegal, there still people that will find ways to obtain them.

I think it should be done in all 50 states. They could treat it similar to cigarettes and alcohol. You'd have to be 18 to purchase it and you can't drive stoned.

I think it's about time.  I love to smoke pot.  I do not use it for medical reasons....even though I do have anxiety.  I live in Oregon and our state is making changes as well and I hope the entire country follows.  It's an exciting time for pot smokers.  Enjoy!
