I clear all cookies.

But you know your browser keeps some temporary files, your recycle-bin holds onto whatever you delete, and your computer ALSO holds on to tidbits of useless information it makes up all day long! CCleaner helps get rid of all that too!

You can do all of that yourself, it's silly to have a program taking up space on your computer to do it also. I hope you didn't pay for it.

You can clear cookies and temporary files through your browser. But you can also clear everything from your hard drive's properties menu. Just right click on your hard drive icon (usually called C:) and select Properties. On the General tab, there will be a button labeled Disk Cleanup. Then a menu will load showing you things you can select and unselect to delete such as recycle bin, temporary internet files, temporary files, setup files, etc.

is cc cleaner trustworthy?  It seems a lot of the pc cleaners are malware.  I wish I had some girl scout peanut butter sandies! :silly:

I've been using CCleaner for years and have not had any problems with it.  It does remove most cookies and temps (in my early version) so there are times when I have to reenter some user ids and passwords, but that's not a real problem for me.  A later version may give you the option to bypass some cookies/temp (per this thread)

I like that it clears all of my browsers in one run and shows me the summary data.  It's amazing how many temp files build up in the PC after just a couple of days.
