My dog is pregnant!
« on: December 28, 2013, 08:39:13 pm »
Okay!
So my dog, vice is pregnant. About a week and a half preggers.
I never had a pregnant dog before so I'm not really sure what I'm suppose to do.
I feed her right and doctor is important, but other than that, what am I suppose to do?
Any pointers?

Nothing.  They can do it all without your help.  Even homeless starving dogs do okay.  But I would just make sure she has what she wants to eat and a warm bed.  Oh and congrats.  You gonna be a grandperson. lol

Aw. Congrats! I love me some cute little puppies. Take good care of them and they will still act cute into their old age.  :dog:

Just make sure that she has a good place to have the pups.  Warm and dry.  Put down an old blanket or something that you don't mind getting a bit messy.

There's not really anything for you to do other than continue to care for her properly. Make sure she's getting enough to eat, has plenty of clean fresh water, and a comfortable place to sleep/rest. She is going to need a safe, secure place to birth the puppies and you'll need to keep the puppies in area where they can't wander off too far. Be sure to respect you dog's space once she's delivered the pups, she may or may not be too keen on having you touch or get too close to her babies at first. You'll probably want to take the puppies to the vet and have them checked out/shots once they're old enough.

Congratulations though! Puppies are awesome!  :D

Wow! How do you know?
Opinion: 1) a view, judgment, or appraisal formed in the mind about a particular matter 2) belief stronger than impression and less strong than positive knowledge
This is the internet, learn to let people have opinions. And don't be so sensitive.  8)
