I like Christmas better because I get to see my whole family then and have a great meal too. New Years I spend with my husband and I often fall asleep before midnight which ruins the whole idea of it anyways.

I prefer Christmas.  Because of what it stands for.  The birth and celebration of Jesus.  New Years is fun - - - just doesn't have the same flare as Christmas does for me.  I'm not much of a drinker so getting together with friends and family for New Years isn't much different than getting together with them any other time - with the exception of the New Years midnight kiss.

I prefer Christmas. The lights, Christmas trees, family. But I do like the New Years is like a new beginning.

They are different in many ways. Should not be compared in any way.

I prefer Christmas over New Year's in that there seems to be more to enjoy from the overall season traditions for me - decorating the tree, baking, exchanging surprise gifts, visiting friends/family you may not see any other time of year.

New Year's was more fun when I was just out of college due to a local ballroom studio renting out a hall, and I would dress up and dance the night away with all my friends, and toast the new year at midnight.  Was a lot of fun, but was only one night.

Christmas festivities seem to last most of December for me which makes it more enjoyable.

They both are equal. Christmas is a born of Christ and new year is welcoming another year that hopefully we all will live through it. Both are very important and hope
all have very great clean heart for this New Year  :highfive: :highfive: :highfive:

I like Christmas better because I get to stay home and enjoy holiday shows and dinner where New Years I have to watch out for all the drunks on the road that should not be driving.....

Christmas because it means family time for me.
New Years means a fresh start.

They are two different holidays Christmas is the celebration of Jesu birth and most stores and businesses are cloed. Ne years is the start of a new year. Most offices are closed but restaurants and stores are open but at limited hours

They're both equal to me.
As long as I get to spend time with family, I'm good!

I don't usually do anything for New Year's, so I would pick Christmas.  The time with family, the food and the presents.  It's a lot of fun that I don't get with New Year's.
