as I am sitting here being pretty cold piled up under as much clothing as I can get one and still barely move I figured as long as we all seem to be cold maybe I could post a topic to get every warmed up  lol  but really money is so tight im actually considering things like personal washrags to wipe with and hanging clothes up but they wont really get dried very fast am also considering putting the slivers of my bath soap in to a leg of panty hose so I don't waste what iv got. Even though I really don't want to I think im going to change my bed less often .  I could also use my bath towel an extra day and I am really going to stop drying my hair a night when I wash it.  you have good ideas cause right now I desperately need some the tires on the truck are so bald and one is really flat.  So I have to cut back.

I live in a townhouse apartment.  The bedrooms and full bath are upstairs, with the dining room, kitchen, living room an half bath downstairs.

One of the things I do to save on the electric bill is I turn off the breakers to the downstairs when I am upstairs working (like on my computer). When I'm done upstairs, I turn on the downstairs breakers and turn the upstairs off. And the power to the stove is kept off unless I'm cooking.

Last months' bill was half of the usual amount.  :o

I've always loved to drive but have cut back drastically on my road running since gas has gotten so high!  We've tried to cut down on our grocery bill but since we have never really eaten very high on the hog anyway, there's not a lot of room to cut back anyway.  We just cringe every week when we pay our grocery bill!

well i think if congress would take a cut in pay 4 3 to 4 years then the defaset would go down but no they r really greedy they say they care about  the amercan people but u cant tell becase they spend & spend build up things whitch they cant  pay for and then they have the tax payers pay the bills

I am sorry, I just cannot relate the topic stated with the ensuing post. Maybe I am just getting old and feeble in the head but I just can't put the things together.   :(

I was I guess kinda just joking around I was cold n just trying to think of other things sorry I didnt mean to confuse any one. a friend very kindly helped me out with part off my heating bill.  now im sitting here wondering how I can pay him back and when I don't want to take a handout like that for free.  but I have no idea at all and he didn't ask to even be paid back but I would not feel right  any ways ....

For the most part all of us are trying to cut back and save money, what with every thing going up and up. But the govenment just doesn't get it.  And this so called president just keeps giving to other countrys and not helping the People here in the good ald USA. What a jerk.

Well I can give you a tip on your tires.  Go visit a junkyard and see if they have a vehicle that matches your tire needs and see if you can get a couple of good tires for a deeply discounted amount that will get you a few miles down the road.  I once picked up 2 tires for an F 150 for twenty dollars but that was a couple of years ago.  But if you know what your doing you can get some cheap parts that way.
