I do not own a car of my own, but I live with my parents and they let me use their cars whenever I need to. Especially when I need to go to school. I am going to college in town, and my parents have always let me use their cars when I need to.

I own a car. But, I can definitely remember the days when I did not have a car, and the bus was the primary means of transportation. When we first got married, the bus was our thing. My wife and I really enjoyed riding the bus. It seemed like it turned into an adventure at times. Every now and ten we would take a cab, but that was more expensive than the bus. Anyhow, it's been a long time since we had to depend on bus transportation. Thank God for our car!

I hate busses to. I own a 2008 passion for 2 convertible smart car made by Mercedes. I love my car!!!

They need to have public-transportation that's automatic ... you need to go somewhere, you hop on the conveyor-belt & hop off when you get where you're going (maybe switching between several belts on the way there)

I own a car but I guess this question might depend on where we live. In the long run owning my own car is certainly cheaper than the alternative.
