I try to save whenever I can .. no particular month that it seems to be better in .. things are tight so saving is sparse.

Hmmm...I would say I am saving money all year long.  I am the most frugal human being!  I like to shop when there are sales and I am a couponer.  I get so much satisfaction when I am at the checkout and I learned I saved over 100.00 on my purchases.

I usually save more money around the summer time because there is less holidays and more time to save

I would think it would be from January through November. Then it'll all be gone by December. I think I save from all those months, and then spend them all for Christmas shopping.  ;D

:moneymouth:  Ugh no - no time of the year that I am able to save money but I am happy if I can just make ends meet - since I lost my hubby and his income that seems like blessing enough to make it through each month.

is there a certain time of the year when you save more money than you spend?

Probably January  thru march.  After the holidays and before tax season!

It is hard for me to save more than I spend because I really don't spend much money! I work a little over eighty hours a week so I really don't have time to spend. I am looking at a daytime project that is about ten miles closer to home so I suppose that I will be spending two hundred dollars less because I will be traveling sixteen hundred miles less over a four month period.  The new site doesn't have a cafeteria so I should save three dollars a week by not buying a breakfast.  I'll have more time because I will be giving myself twenty five minutes a day back in commute time which equates to more work that I can do out of the house.

I find that I'm able to save a little bit more early in the year than later on when vacation comes around.

:) I quit spending more than I take in years ago. You can't imagine the feeling of being totally debt free. It is a wonderful way to live. In answer to your question, no.

It's not that easy.  Most people have a mortgage payment.  Unless somebody gives you the money there aren't many who can save enough to pay cash for a house and be paying rent while they are saving.  There are emergencies that arise and people have to use a credit card.  And in today's economy people lose their job and have no choice but to use a credit card.  People who have never had to struggle just don't understand.

I try to save money on the even and odd numbered months.  lol   I don't do anything different during different parts of the year.  I try to save as much as I can all the time.

Each paycheck I put a fixed amount and earnings from FC in a separate savings...anything extra leftover in my regular savings account at the end of the month after all expenses are paid is a bonus...so far so good.
