White Christmas
« on: December 06, 2013, 07:17:25 am »
Christmas month is here and yes folks here in texas it is a white christmas! Never in my years have i seen this much ice it's got the roads covered, cars covered, yards covered. Everthing is white! I was outside shoveling the ice a bit singing to myself it's beginning to look a  lot like christmas! HaHa bless us Bless us everyone! Although the roads may be icy and we may have to drive slow. Accidents are gonna be aflow but the memory of this year is going to be alive in my mind and i'm going to hold it ever so dear! It's Christmas! Let's all be merry and go play in the ice build ice forts and iceballs then warm up with some nice hot choclate and a warm fireplace and if you don't have a fireplace then snuggle near a heater. It's such a wonderfull time of year!  :snowman:  :snowman:

Love your positive attitude!  Last year I was snowed in and could not get out of my drive for several days because of high snow drifts.  After shoveling for hours, I was able to get out for one day before the next big storm hit and filled the whole driveway up again.  Oh well, at least I got a lot of exercise.

Oh Nooo! I'm sorry to hear you got snowed in last year. Sometimes for me it's better to pour water over the snow/ ice a couple times  make a little path for yourself and don't over due it all at once. then shovel a little bit pour some hot water over it and shovel and of course a continuous cycle untill it's done but it's a better way. Of course we don't really get that much snow or ice down here in the part of texas i am in So i'm not very experienced in the shoveling.. I got a very large broom and a plow ( i call it a plow) and i get in it and just go to town of course with steps of hot water and the plow or shovel and sweep off with the broom because i have dogs and one is such a little drama queen she won't go out unless her feet can completly touch dry ground needless to say she is spoiled ^_^ as well as the others. tehe!

Last year was my first White Christmas, and I've got my fingers crossed that I'll have another one this year!

I love the snow. I think it's absolutely beautiful!

Sorry you are battling so much ice, but I'm sure you are loving the idea of a "White Christmas" anyway.  Can't say we here in AZ have the same - only the northern people do.  But, we do "dream" of a White Christmas"!!!

I would love for it to snow for Christmas.  I always have my Christmas on the weekend following Christmas or the weekend after.  I work at Walmart so I have to have it when I am off and my family can come.  Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and may God bless each of you and keep you safe.

Here in Nebraska, I wouldn't be shocked if it was or was not a white Christmas, the weather here is unpredictable.  :P

I think snow is beautiful.  It is a lot of work, though, shoveling the walk, driveway, cleaning off the cars... and I worry about me and my family driving in it.  But it is magical - love to watch it fall, especially if big flakes are falling at night.
