What is you favorite doughnut?

I really like the miniature chocolate, powdered, and cinnamon doughnuts. I like bear claws, Bavarian creme filled, chocolate creme filled, apple filled, glazed, chocolate covered, maple, sprinkles, and the cake-style doughnuts (blueberry, chocolate, strawberry/cherry). I just really like doughnuts, even though they're really bad.

I like the chocolate glazed doughnuts from Krispy Kreme. This post has reminded me, I still have a gift certificate for a dozen krispy kreme doughnuts I need to redeem before it expires.

Love publix donuts any flavor especially chocolate  & glaze! White cream in the middle is heavenly too!

I haven't had my favorite doughnut in so long.  My favorite a long John with vanilla icing and Bavarian cream filling.  NO SPRINKLES. Specifically from Casey's the convenient stores... they are all over in small towns here in the midwest.  I'm not sure bout' everywhere else.  I made an attempt to make this doughnut myself a few months ago.  My dough didn't rise... (I think it was to cool or I had purchased the wrong yeast?)  They weren't real puffy - but they sure did taste good.   They had more of an elephant ear texture... although thicker like a biscuit.  I should try again.
