I take extra strength Goody powders for my headaches. They are the only thing that seem to work.

I've had headaches regularly for the last three years, about an average of three a week.  I use a combination of tools to help, but have not found anything that I can rely on to get rid of one.  Tylenol doesn't touch it.  I don't like taking anything stronger.  I use exercise, stretching, ice, Deep Blue Rub, and EFT (emotional freedom technique).  My headaches are referred pain from my neck.  The good news is they don't bother me as much as they used to.  They aren't as intense and though annoying, I can usually keep doing what I am doing, and just wait it out. I've never had one last over nine hours!  Lately, I'm getting rid of them in 3-5 hours!  I'm making progress!

I drink more water, and keep myself well hydrated. Most of the time this works.

I take ibuprofen and just lay down in a dark room to relax.

I bought a huge bottle of Rite aid's ibuprofen (500 pills) and I use that for everything. The bottle has lasted me almost two years now and its effective.

Mostly I just wait them out.  That's what I've done all my life.  I don't really get them all that often though so it isn't a big concern to me.  I can normally sooth it by either closing my eyes or by placing a damp, cool washcloth over them too.  If I get a headache at home, I'll try taking a nap if I have the time.

I take different medications depending on what the headache is. A cool compress always helps.
