dry wine verses sweet wine
« on: November 22, 2013, 06:24:26 pm »
??? which wine do you prefer to serve at dinner? I used to serve dry wine because I was once told that dry wine is the best wine to serve at dinner. I don't really like the taste of it. I prefer semi sweet wine. To me if a wine is not sweet is not good.

I don't like wine with dinner but prefer it after.
I like the sweet wines, almost like a dessert.

I chose neither especially if there are children at the table. why not grape juice, or any other kind of juice which I feel is more appropriate for holiday family and friends occasions. It not only makes everyone calm but they will show their best side and that is easier for enjoying the holidays.

I love sweet (dessert) wine. Moscato is my favorite.

I havent drank wine at all this year ( i was pregnant and just gave birth) But i dont like dry wines at all. I prefer sweet wines like Moscato. Dry wines leave too much of a bitter taste for me.

I don't drink alot of wine, but when I do have a glass of wine I prefer it with a meal. The wine I choose really depends on the type of food that I intend to eat. If I'm in the mood for a good steak and I want a glass of wine it will most likely be a burgundy. When I eat seafood then I will choose a white wine. I don't drink it very often usually only on special occassions. I do however, love to cook with different types of wine and use them pretty regularly in my food. Red wine works very well for deglazing after searing heavy meats. You can also use a white wine for melting cheese. It is really great for fondue!

I don't like dry but not too sweet either.  A nice Pinot Noir for me.

I've tried various types of wine, but I don't like anything I've had so far.

I don't really like wine, but I prefer sweet over dry by a wide margin.
