If money grew on trees, how do you think society would react?

It could no longer be considered money because it would be useless. Money symbolizes WORK, and if nobody has to WORK to get it, nothing would get done in society.

"Money" or currency is only a measure of a person's (or their family's) worth or value to society. If money grew on trees, then that measure would no longer work, and the economic system would then cease to function... We'd probably just go to some bartering system until a new form of currency was developed.

The way society is right now, there would be utter chaos.  You couldn't get shade in the summer because the trees would  be bare.  When people had picked their trees bare,  they would be looking for somebody else's tree to pick money off.  There is no way that people would think of their fellow neighbor because they would be envious of getting money from the next tree.  People will kill for money now, but thank God there is no such thing.

Where  i live  a  sweet  lady  and her 12 year old  son  where killed  by her 25  year old son. The reasoning behind this  was she was kicking him out of the house.  The world is crazy now.

I believe everyone would have many trees in their yard so they would have what they need and yes you would probably have unwelcomed guests helping themselves. but not to worry it would always grow more.

If money grew on trees I think society would react like a kid in a candy store. I think that people would spend it until all the money was gone.

There would not be any more trees. Greed would come in and do what the republican's have been doing all along.

If money grew on trees ... well, I look at the future as sort of 'quantum physics' (basically, quantum physics gives rules that work a percentage of the time ... or rules that have a probability of working).

But most people judge future citizens like animals. They think that--if money grew on trees (supposing that ANYBODY could grow their own private money-tree---that money-trees were not limited to a few forests that you miss out on your chance for money if you miss the harvest-festival)--man would go the lazy-beast route & not get a job (so no work would get done).

I think people would work because IT'S WHAT THEY DO (for 'fun'---a distraction from this eternal waiting ... waiting for the gates of Heaven to open, right Mimi Rogers (in her movie The Rapture with David Duchovny)?
