Holy 14??? I only had one surgery (4 wisdom teeth extractions) and I do not want any more.... If it's a necessary surgery then I guess you should go with it, but if it's not then don't

Btw you should explain what your surgery is (if it's not to personal) because some other people might have experience with it. Hope that things go well for you

Only if it's necessary, because every surgery has risks involved with it.

Depends on what the surgery is for.  If it's cosmetic maybe not.  If it's life saving sure.

Over the last twenty-six years since I was 21 I had over 15 surgeries the last one was in 2003.  If I  had to do another one I would.  I would do it to spend more time with my family.

I haven't had many, but if I need one and trust the doctor I would do it. I have another one coming next Monday that is not going to be fun (a Prostate Roto-Rooter Job), but it should be all good in a few weeks.

Depends on what kind of surgery it is. I would not care for any type of cosmetic surgery.

It all depends what the surgeries are for and further than that it is your decision and not ours.  I am 28 and I have had 8 surgeries...who knows what the future will hold.

It all depends on what type of surgery you are talking about.  My last surgery was about 1 year ago (gall bladder).  If it's a surgery you need, and you have faith in your doctor, or even if it's a cosmetic surgery, the decision is yours alone.  I know if it were to help me, and not just cosmetic, even if I were not looking forward to it, I would do it,

Can't believe this is the best place to find advice on this, but whatever... Are all of the 14 previous surgeries for the same condition? If so, it is doubtful that #15 is going to be the charm that works. Beyond that, if the situation is that you are contemplating an ELECTIVE procedure, that being one that you can live without, and the toss up is between living with the difficulties of the operation and recovery vs. the difficulties of living on with whatever the problem is currently, there is really no advice that can be given that holds any meaning, after all, YOU and you alone are the one that must deal with the consequences of either choice.

Wish you the best no matter what path you decide upon. :)

That's what I think too, depends on what kind of surgery it is. But if it's something that's going to help you go for it. Good luck with whatever you decide :)

It all depends on the surgery and if that surgery will correct the problem or just lead to more surgeries.  I, for one, am tired of surgeries and doctors.  I'm ready for the Lord to come for me.
Have a wonderful day!

I also think it depends on what the surgery is for.  Life saving - yes definitely.  cosmetic - probably not.  Making life easier - probably yes.
