crowdflower task using bookmarklet, SO CONFUSED!
« on: October 19, 2013, 02:24:25 pm »
I installed the bookmarklet just as the task required. I am using chrome on win 7(win 8 and ie8 they said didnt work properly, so just pointing out that is not my problem). When I do the search through google(clicking on the link they give to use) I get a error box that says "You must make the search from Google. If this error continues please contact support." Is anyone else having this type of problem, or know what I could be doing wrong? I thought I would ask before putting a ticket into crowdflower since I don't know how to put in a ticket because I have no idea how to get my user id number although I am signed up and do have one. :-[ ??? :dontknow: :sad1:

I also have tried the tasks and got the same error message.  I'm using Chrome.  I just stopped doing the task and didn't bother to put in a ticket to admin.  I just gave up on it.

Not sure if you tried again, but they fixed this issue and this task should work for you now.

If you have an issue again, file a ticket with CrowdFlower.

I do the booklet mark task with either Firefox or Safari with no issues.

I had a similar problem with it, submitted a ticket with cornflower and they gave me credit, said they were working on the problem. :) I am using Chrome and win 7 also.

These tasks do work, however every now and then you will get that error. You just need to get out of the task, clear your cache & cookies and try again. It will then work, but you may have to clear cache/cookies every so often. I've been doing TONS of these the last few days!

here's the deal with Chrome...you drag the bookmarklet from the task page to the top of your toolbar....then the rest is gravy

I would put in a support ticket with CROWD FLOWER, not Fusion Cash.  Also, this Task DOES work with Windows 8, you just have to be sure you're opening your browser from the DESKTOP and not the CHARM.  I use Windows 8 and had no problems doing this task.

Place a support ticket with Crowdflower. The response time is MUCH better since the addition of their new ticket system.

Just use the "Help" button within the Task itself to report it to Crowd Flower.  Explain the problem you're having in the report.  Crowd Flower is very fair in crediting tasks when there are problems.
